Account
Your profile comes from Twitch: your name, avatar and email sync automatically. You can set your time zone here, which keeps your stats lined up with your own day.
Connections

If Twitch disconnects
Twitch sometimes stops accepting OverlayThing's access, usually after a password, authenticator or security change, or after OverlayThing is removed from your Twitch connections. When that happens we email you right away (and post to your Discord webhook if you set one), show a red banner across the dashboard, and add a red strip to the top of the OBS dock. Click Reconnect Twitch to fix it. If it is still disconnected three days later you get one last reminder, and a short confirmation once it is reconnected. Brief Twitch outages or network blips never trigger any of this; we just retry.
A custom bot account works the same way: until you reconnect it from Bot settings, chat messages go out from the OverlayThing bot.
Notifications
Choose what you want to hear about by email (tips received, overlay or connection problems, a weekly digest, product updates), and optionally point a Discord webhook at your notifications or moderation events.
Security and data
- Active sessions: see where you are signed in and sign out other devices.
- Export your data: download everything in one click. See Export your data.
- Delete your account: a confirmation starts a grace period during which you can still change your mind before anything is permanently removed.
